Openbill Storks

Openbill storks are numerous in Malawi and it's not uncommon to see them congregate in large groups at certain times of the year. They have a distinctive silhouette and are easy to spot when flying overhead because of their broad wings and fan-like tail feathers. They’re large birds, although medium sized for storks, and seeing them fly together en mass is quite something. To me, they look ancient, like a prehistoric relic (cue the Jurassic park theme) but the two in the bottom right corner, actually seem to me, to be more like humming birds in this image.
