African Wood Owls
Following a morning drive in south Luangwa National Park i visited a fabric shop, Tribal Textiles, en route back to camp. In the car park, an African Wood Owl and its juvenile offspring happened to be sleeping in a group of trees. aware of my presence but feeling secure in their tree top hide, the owls continued their early afternoon nap. this gave me enough time to find a gap in the foliage and compose the shot. A great reminder for me that it pays to look up!
